Robert 'Boysie' Lowery (1913-1995)

Robert "Boysie" Lowery was a highly influential jazz trumpeter, bandleader, and esteemed music educator primarily based in Wilmington, Delaware. Born in North Carolina in 1913, Lowery moved to Wilmington in the early 1940s, where he quickly became a pivotal figure in the local jazz scene. He formed his own ensemble, The Aces of Rhythm, which became a staple in the area.
